Fylingdales Folk Choir Christmas Concert

Saltburn Community Theatre was the venue for a return visit by the popular Fylingdales Folk Choir, who reminded us of the meaning of Christmas though their mix of traditional and contemporary music.  Their seasonal songs, many of which were treated to original arrangements by their talented conductor Gillian Edwards, focused on the message of goodwill. We were very pleased to welcome two Afghani families, who seemed to enjoy the experience, particularly when their children were invited onstage to assist with percussion, accompanied by warm applause from an appreciative audience!

As ever, our hosts at Saltburn Arts worked very hard to ensure that the event went well, with their volunteers providing support behind the scenes, on the bar and in front of house.

An invitation to 'pay as you feel' , plus proceeds from the raffle, raised a magnificent £1,195 for our funds.
